IBM and the Faculty of Engineering Mahidol University Announcing a collaboration to bring IBM's High Performance Computing (HPC) and AI Vision technologies to support research and development of important skills in Thailand. This cooperation is in line with the country's strategic plan for economic development. Digital Economy and accelerating the drive towards Industry 4.0 to support the industries of the future, S-Curve and New S-Curve, as well as the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). This cooperation is an important step for IBM and Mahidol University in driving development towards a digital society and sustainable development of the country. Under the said agreement IBM will provide three-month licenses to IBM Power Systems hardware, IBM HPC technology and IBM Visual Insights software, as well as hands-on workshops to Mahidol University Engineering faculty for use in research and development.
Study in the following three areas Research on the use of Computer Email Data Vision technology based on AI in healthcare, such as medical image analysis (Medical Imaging), medical informatics (Medical Informatics), etc., in collaboration with Siriraj Hospital and other hospitals. Affiliated with Mahidol University Developing skills, both in terms of Reskill and Upskill, for personnel in the industrial and production sectors. This project will start from an industrial estate located in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), in line with Thailand's industrial development strategy. Research to use AI platforms to create Machine Learning and Deep Learning models for analyzing and monitoring machine performance. Including detecting defective parts in production plants.
